La Générale des Carrières et des Mines (General of Quarries and Mines), abbreviated GECAMINES SA, is a commercial company whose main activity is mining and whose single shareholder is the Congolese State.

Currently, its metal production consists of copper, cobalt, and zinc. Included within the company's mining potential is tin and its accompanying minerals, as well as carbon. The company also has maintenance facilities and metal- and agricultural-processing units, as well as social infrastructures in the fields of health and education. It carries out its activities in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Provinces of Haut-Katanga, Lualaba, and Haut-Lomami, with its headquarters located in the city of Lubumbashi.
